2007 Reptile Show

Snakes were the main attraction at this event held in the atrium of the Garfield Park Conservatory. Pictures were taken April 21, 2007.
Handlers assured visitors of the serpentine’s safety, which no doubt helped the young man in the first photo above get bold enough to let the snake wrap around his neck.
The girl in the second photo, on the other hand, did not appear totally convinced, although she was a little less skittish when posing for pictures with her mother (below), who seemed at ease with the snake buddying up to her. The young boy in the second photo below had less to be concerned about – just some silly old snake skin!
