The Garfield Park Conservatory, in addition to the various displays, shows and programs it hosts in its atrium, also is known for its tropical plants and rainforest exhibit, which was developed and installed as a permanent attraction during a park-wide improvement project in 1997.
Here, temperatures and humidity are specially regulated to nurture the plants seen in photos below and help maintain water in the koi pond, also seen in pictures below. You can click on any photo to see a larger and sharper version.
