St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and School in Cary

The venue for the youth soccer league game from the previous post was St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church and School, 804 High House Road in Cary, N.C.

Because I shot the soccer match with my Canon 6D, I decided to do a profile of the St. Michael campus while I was there. The images of that shoot are presented in this post.

Leading off (above) is a view of the main sanctuary entrance from the right side, with a straight-on frontal shot below followed by a closeup of the statue you see in the first photo below.

Above and first two photos below: Illustrations found on the building's facade at different points.

A front-left shot of the main sanctuary entrance (above) and a closeup of the turret below.

Above: A passageway leading from the right front side of the main sanctuary entrance to the campus behind the church, including the parish hall.

A memory wall (above) and tributes (below) in sections named for various saints.

Above and below: Statues found in different places on campus, the one above in an open area behind the church and the one below just outside Trinity Center.

Two perspectives of the Parish Center, the one above from relatively close up, the longer one below from beyond a shaded walkway leading to the stairs to the athletic fields located below a bluff. A wide perspective shot of those athletic fields was included in the previous post about the soccer competition.

The front (above) and side (below) of Trinity Center, which houses parish staff offices as well as the church's preschool program, the entrance to which is seen along the side of the building in the photo below.

The church school (above) and the adjacent Archangel Hall (below), which houses a gymnasium and performing arts area and multipurpose room.

Above: A modest reflection and sitting area between the school and Archangel Hall.

A perspective shot (above) and closeup of an area set aside for devotion to St. Mary, mother of Jesus.
