1st visit to Holly Springs Farmers Market
As you might recall, I had visited Holly Springs, N.C., in April for a community profile shoot, so when I had an itch yesterday to check out a new farmers market in the area and learned that Holly Springs had one on Saturdays, that's where I decided to go.
The market sets up on the curved asphalt semicircle near the cultural center, and visitors can park anywhere in the center's available parking lot, which is pretty generous. Even though the lot was crowded when we arrived a little after 11 a.m., we had no trouble finding a place to park.
There was a modest number of vendors there -- fewer than I expected, but the major traditional farmers market offerings were pretty well represented -- several produce and meats vendors, two bread/bakery vendors, and a couple of beverage providers.
In addition, there were a few novelty item vendors as well (hand-crafted soaps and lotions, for example). This post features photos taken during the visit Saturday. All were taken with my iPhone X. A full gallery of photos from my shoot can be found at the link in this sentence.
